It does happen, but it is never expected and always received with great appreciation. This one I am sharing as the words behind the gift (a bottle of fine scotch whisky) meant so much to me. Susan, stated that she had been sent on many training courses over the years and frankly found them all a bit tedious and never got much out of them. Preferred to back at work doing something that was useful. This gift she said is twofold. I know I was a pain on most of day One as I really did not want to be here on another course. I recognize I came across rude and arrogant. Perhaps even a distraction to the rest of the class. However in the afternoon of the first day, I was blown away with a couple of very relevant points that really got me thinking. Suddenly I had the feeling I was actually learning something. After the 3 x days I am still amazed at how much I have learned and how much I really can improve. So this a thank you for putting up with me, you most likely can use a drink after I leave today. Ooh by the way - I will be coming back for another course......LOL Awesome I said !!!!! A client giving a gift for the services you provide is something that should never be expected. However, the way it can make you feel is truly something extraordinary.
